GSC Northwest is headquartered in Anacortes Washington and has been proudly serving customers for over 8 years. The company was established as a result of the combined efforts of its owners, both former regulators with the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety Inspection Service.
Dr. Greg Sherman spent 27 years with FSIS, during which time he gained valuable experience in slaughter, processing, and as Frontline Supervisor in Everett Washington critically evaluating programs and working with industry to meet agency goals. He has experience with all HACCP processing categories and systems, humane slaughter of all species, microbial sampling and labeling, as well as working with industry to meet agency goals from an administrative perspective. Greg finished his FSIS career at the Small Plant Help Desk in Washington DC where he had personal interaction with many plant owners and gained valuable insight to the needs of small plants. Among other projects, he wrote a new Raw Ground HACCP model for FSIS, and he shared the prestigious Secretary's Award for his work with mobile slaughter.
